Through Respect The Game, Basketball NSW and Tamworth Basketball Association is committed to fostering a positive sporting culture where players, coaches, officials and supporters can come together to uphold respect, integrity and the love of the game.

Basketball is at its best when everyone involved, players, coaches, referees, parents, and supporters share a commitment to respect. The energy of the game, the excitement of competition, and the sense of community that surrounds it are what make basketball so special. Protecting these qualities means creating an environment where young athletes can learn, officials can develop, coaches can lead with confidence, and families can enjoy the experience together.

Respecting the game means understanding that every person on the court and around it plays a role in making basketball possible. From the young referee blowing the whistle, to the coach guiding a team, to the parent cheering from the sideline, each contributes to the culture of the sport.
