BNSW Northern/Eastern U12s Skills Day - Selection for Jamboree

What is the U12 Skills Day?

The U12 Skills Day is open to boys and girls born in 2015 and 2016, regardless of experience level.

Whether an athlete is new to basketball or already competing, the day is designed to:

·       Build confidence

·       Improve core fundamental skills

·       Introduce the BNSW development pathway

·       Most importantly, foster enjoyment of the game

Throughout the day, players receive expert coaching focused on the core fundamentals of basketball (Super 6 framework). Sessions are hands-on, engaging, and structured to make learning fun while developing strong foundational skills.

Each participant receives a T-shirt and water bottle as part of registration.

Cost: $135
Time (all venues): 9:00am – 3:00pm

Skills Day provides a valuable opportunity for athletes to:

·       Learn from experienced pathway coaches

·       Develop strong fundamental skills

·       Build confidence on the court

·       Meet new friends from other associations

Consideration for Jamboree selection (athletes born in 2015/2016)

Even if an athlete does not wish to trial for the Jamboree, they are welcome to attend purely for skill development and enjoyment.

These days are not just training events they are the entry point into future basketball development within the BNSW pathway.

 

Jamboree Selection Information

Skills Day serves as the official selection opportunity for the 2026 Southern Jamboree.

Coaches will assess athletes born in 2015 throughout the day. Selected athletes may be invited to attend the:

2026 John Davidson Country Jamboree (Northern)

The Jamboree is an exciting, invitation-only event featuring multiple games, training sessions, social activities, and lifelong friendships. It provides young athletes with a performance style basketball experience in a more fun, supportive environment.
